{The Divas Weekly Inspiration} Sickie, two ingredient recipes, peace of mind restock, Easter trauma.

The Divas Weekly Inspiration

Hello Reader,

Today is a tea-and-toast kind of day over here. I’m a bit under the weather, so I’m giving myself permission to move slowly and take care of myself, something I suspect many of us don’t do often enough.

Before I go back to my cozy corner, I wanted to leave you with a couple of simple, steadying tips for the week:

  • Cook once, eat twice. Even something as simple as extra rice or roasted vegetables can turn into another meal later in the week.
  • Shop your kitchen first. Before heading to the store, take a quick look at what you already have and build a meal around it.
  • Keep one “no-thinking-required” meal on standby. Something easy, familiar, and comforting for the days when energy is low.

Micro-Moment of Joy
Pick a favorite scent, like a candle, a spritz of perfume, fresh herbs in your kitchen, and take a deep breath. Savoring a familiar, comforting smell can instantly lift your mood.

Did you know you can make a cake with just a boxed mix and a 12-ounce can of soda? For example - combine a vanilla cake mix with a can of orange soda (or lemon, or chocolate cake and a Dr. Pepper), stir, and bake as directed. That’s it. No eggs, no oil, no fuss. It’s light, fluffy, and a little bit magical… and once you try it, the flavor possibilities are endless.

It's Something Amazing!

Did you know you can make rich, creamy ice cream with just two ingredients? Simply whip 2 cups of heavy cream until soft peaks form, then gently fold in a can of sweetened condensed milk. Pour it into a container and freeze until firm. The result is incredibly creamy, scoopable ice cream. No machine required, and a perfect base for adding your favorite flavors.

TWO INGREDIENT ICE CREAM

Never have only two ingredients made so many people so happy.

Did you know you can make a quick peanut butter fudge with just two ingredients? Simply mix 1 (18 ounce) jar peanut butter with 1 (12 ounce) container whipped cream cheese frosting (or chocolate!) until smooth, spread it into a 9x9 pan, and let it set. That’s it! Rich, creamy, and super-fast. It’s one of those delightfully simple treats that feels like a little kitchen secret, and once you know it, you’ll find yourself making it again and again.

These Easter Peep Kabobs are as cheerful as a spring morning, and just as easy to put together. The real magic? A clever little secret ingredient that transforms plain marshmallows into bright, festive pops of color, making each skewer look like it came straight from a bakery window.

It’s a simple, budget-friendly trick that turns an everyday treat into something truly special, perfect for Easter baskets, brunch tables, or a little edible celebration just because.

Your Mission This Week:

This Week’s Mission: Restock Your “Peace of Mind” Supplies

Take a few minutes this week to check in with your cold medicines, first aid kit, headache and allergy remedies. After a long winter, chances are things are running low or missing entirely.

You don’t need to replace everything all at once. Instead, begin a gradual restock. Add one or two items to your cart each time you shop: a box of tissues, pain reliever, thermometer batteries, bandages, allergy meds, whatever you notice is low or gone.

This isn’t about preparing for the worst. It’s about making life easier for yourself when you’re not feeling your best.

Because at 2:00 in the morning, when you’ve got a fever… or a barfy kid… or a pounding headache that won’t wait until morning… the last thing you want is an emergency trip to the pharmacy.

This is one of those small, invisible acts of care that pays you back tenfold.

Future you will be so grateful.

That’s it and that's all for today.

I’ll be back soon with more from Divaville. In the meantime, take care of yourself like you matter—because you do.

Onward and awkward,
Diva Patti D.

Grace Notes:

  • A sip of nostalgia. Make (or find) a drink from your childhood, like hot cocoa, lemonade, or even a simple cup of warm milk. Let it bring back a sweet memory.
  • Step outside in the early evening and notice the shift. The air is softer now, the light lingering just a little longer. Enjoy the glow of backlit tulip petals during golden hour. Let yourself feel the season changing, even if only for a minute.
  • Change your tune. Change your alarm sound to something pleasant. Don’t jar yourself awake.
  • Move slower with intention. To hurry is a trauma response. Take your power back.

See you next week! xx

The Divas Weekly Inspiration Howdy Ho Reader! Watch out, Mama's on a health kick. You know that means everyone will be eating kale and turmeric this week! LOL! Well, you see, I’ve been taking in a little extra education lately, and I came away feeling both inspired and recommitted. It’s easy to forget, in the middle of busy days and tight budgets, that food isn’t just one more thing on the to-do list. It’s the Foundation. Of. Everything. It affects how we feel, how we think, how we function...

The Divas Weekly Inspiration Hello Reader, I'd like to share an observation. It's something that has changed drastically during my lifetime and I'm not sure if it's a totally good thing. We’ve become used to getting everything so quickly. If we want something, we buy it, we pay with a credit card and sometimes it shows up at our doorstep within hours. If we’re hungry, we order food and whatever we want appears on the porch. If we feel like doing something fun, we make it happen right away. And...

The Divas Weekly Inspiration Hello Reader, I've been thinking a great deal about this and wanted to focus today on: The Power of a Simple Weekly Rhythm It's my experience that most people don’t have a time problem. They have a decision fatigue problem. Every day asks the same questions: What’s for dinner? Do we have groceries? What needs to go in the laundry? What's on the calendar for today? is there enough gas in the car? What needs to be done first? What's that smell in the fridge? What...
